The undercroft collective always works to be as transparent and in the open as is possible. This document is to outline our policies and approaches to common situations.
The Undercroft is a sober space
Events at The Undercroft are sober. We understand that this can mean different things to different people. For us, this means no alcohol or party drugs should be consumed or present at our events, and all patrons should be sober enough to act in a respectful manner. The Undercroft is a non-judgmental space and we understand that everyone has a different relationship to substance use and sobriety.
Alcohol in the space will be removed. Opened containers will be dumped in the sink. Unopened containers will be relocated offsite.
The Undercroft reserves the right to remove you if you are inappropriately under the influence of substances.
Respect The Space, Respect The Community

- No: trashing the space
- Yes: respecting individual autonomy

- Concerns: If you have an issue with either how the space itself is run, or the behavior of a collective member or someone else using the space, we appreciate you reaching out directly so that we can address it. We can’t promise any specific outcome or to incorporate all feedback, but we look forward to any opportunity to improve the way our space and collective functions, and help to resolve any conflicts.
Event Usage Policies
these policies are a non exhaustive list and are inclusive of the guidance above
Respect the building and the church’s property: Please be mindful that the space we rent belongs to the Church of the Guardian Angel. Do not enter areas of the church that are not part of The Undercroft, such as the sanctuary (directly above the show space) or Kromer Hall (back door in the kitchen) - signs are posted in these areas. Occasionally members of the church not directly affiliated with The Undercroft might be in the space.
Respecting other equipment and property in the space: The majority of the items in our space were either purchased by us or donated to us, and some do not belong to us and are just being stored on behalf of other groups. Please be mindful of these items as you move through the space. Clean up any areas that you use. Inform us if there is any excess trash, broken equipment, or anything else that seems off while you are using the space.
Quiet hours: Regardless of when you are in the space, we ask for there to be no loud music or other excess noise created after 11pm
